CURRY RIVEL EVENTS RECENT PAST AND FUTURE
Services each Sunday at 10.30am

Regular Sunday worship takes place at 10.30am each week. Communion is held once a month. Because our Minister has 5 churches to look after, he takes a service about once every five weeks and the remainder are led by local lay preachers and retired ministers in the Area. The local Lay Preachers Association meets regularly and it is from this group that many of our worship leaders are drawn. Three of our own members are regular lay preachers, both here and around the Group as a whole.

A Sunday School meets once a month in the Schoolroom.

We celebrate all the usual festivals of the Church Year with special celebrations (eg Harvest, Remembrance, Advent, Christmas and Easter, for example) and have held joint Songs of Praise services with our local Anglican Church, St Andrews in Curry Rivel.

The Chapel is host to numerous other activities: for example, Girl Guides, Local Preachers Association, Coffee Mornings, Film Nights, Church Lunches, Birthday parties, Weddings, Funerals, Craft Fairs, Tree Festivals and the schoolroom is let through our Lettings Officer (259391)

We regularly organise a Christmas Craft Fayre (using the Village Hall)which takes place on a Saturday in November and has become a prominent feature of Village life, with high quality products by local artisans on sale. The event usually includes musical entertainment by local people.

We have organised other events in the village such as fund raising for national charity purposes (eg Opera, Wine and Pizza, Curry Night for disaster victims etc).

Our latest event was a village Christmas Tree Festival which took place over the weekend of December 12/13 2015 and which raised over 630 (Childrens Society, Langport Memory Cafe, Red Cross Refugee Appeal
